Backstop Advisory is a specialist consultancy firm with a singular focus on the provision of contract and procurement professionals for complex infrastructure and energy projects. Unlike generalist resourcing agencies, every placement we make sits at the intersection of commercial acumen and technical delivery — the disciplines that determine whether major capital projects are procured efficiently and executed successfully. Since our founding, we have built a proven track record across offshore energy, infrastructure, and major programme environments, deploying professionals at all levels — from Procurement Officers and Contracts Managers through to Heads of Commercial. Our professionals are engaged on assignments spanning procurement strategy, tender management, contract formation, supplier relationship management, claims and disputes, and cost control. To date, Backstop Advisory has supported clients across 18 projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors, including onshore wind, offshore wind, hydro power, and battery storage.
