Norway-based Tronrud Engineering Moss (Department: Digital Weaving Norway) manufactures Digital Jacquard looms called the Thread Controller 2 (TC2). The loom enables the weaver to expedite the process of converting ideas into actual woven fabrics. The loom is developed to be an extension of the creativity of the designer/ product developer/ researcher and therefore offers maximum flexibility and spontaneity, as opposed to industrial looms where speed and cost-effectiveness is the main criteria. The TC2 is developed primarily for Prototyping, Sampling, Product Development, Customization or for creating individual textile pieces.
